Our performance - defined benefit members
Interim credited rate
The interim credited rate from 1 July 2012 is currently 13.9% pa.
This is the rate used to calculate the value of your super if an ‘annual credited rate’ for the year is not available yet. It applies to the accounts used for your accumulation-style benefit (remember, your super is the greater of an accumulation-style benefit or defined benefit formula). It doesn’t apply to your SuperSave account.
This rate is reviewed quarterly and can go up or down. If it changes, the new rate applies to your accounts from 1 July 2012.
Annual credited rate
This is the rate applied to your accounts at 30 June each year (except SuperSave).
It’s calculated based on what the Defined Benefit Plan investments earn (net of management fees and taxes), less administration costs.
